In my artistic endeavor, I employed a vibrant palette that included shades of red, yellow, green, orange, purple, and blue to craft a piece I titled Spectrum Semicircle. This abstract digital painting is characterized by its dynamic semi-circular motion, which adds a sense of fluidity and energy to the composition. The interplay of colors not only captivates the eye but also evokes a range of emotions.

“The concept behind the semicircle is deeply rooted in symbolism, as research suggests that it embodies the rhythm of life itself. This shape signifies the balance between periods of rest and the bursts of productivity that follow.” By incorporating this idea into my artwork, I aimed to reflect the cyclical nature of existence, where moments of tranquility are essential for fostering creativity and action.

Waves of Life, Ocean Waves and Inflation

Ocean Waves is an abstract painting created in 2023 and features a captivating swirl of blue and green, evoking the dynamic essence of ocean waves. The fluid composition reflects the swift flow of life, with varying shades that symbolize growth and transformation. Inflation created in 2022 and based on the personal and professional experiences that Ms. Afrika Abney encountered as a black female from America and living in America. Swirls and shades of purple blend into one another, creating an abstract and immersive visual experience. Hints of light blue peek through, adding a contrasting highlight to the darker hues.

Dating Ethics

Dating co-workers in professional work settings is inappropriate. When employers hire me to provide a specific service as a consultant, I will always remain professional. I do not believe in dating my former co-workers of the opposite sex. I will remove myself from the setting first when I have noticed that I developed such attraction.
